9:00 AM Marker dedication at Jeffrey Barn, Site of first settlers in 1763 Jabez Sargent and Thomas Chandler, Town Manager David Pisha Speaker Route 103 north of Stone Village
10:00 AM Marker dedication Courthouse site: speaker Robert Ulbrich followed by Vermont Grand Lodge officers ceremony, corn, oil and wine with Bagpiper Don Murray Note: this marker has for years been in the wrong location but has been moved to its rightful place at Superintendent of Schools office by the Sunoco station
11:00 AM - 6:00 PM VT Historical Society "Clara's Games" & Face painting for the children, [Front lawn of the Historical Society]. All day horse shoes & croquet, [Behind Historical Society] along with French & Indian troop encampment also behind the Historical Society. You can interact with the troops and learn about our earliest history.
Also, Olive Branch Lodge #64 Chester Masons will have an all day chicken and pork barbecue with assorted salads etc on the Green.
11:30 AM Parade starts with: Governor Douglas, French & Indian War troops, two Revolutionary units, two Civil War units, American Legion, Fife & Drum Corps, Vt Grand Lodge officers, Town of Chester's 19th century horse drawn hearse, Shriner clowns, Don Murray Bagpiper, Fire & Rescue vehicles, The Masons, 1849 horse drawn Hunneman hand-pumper, antique tractors and much more including all Chester residents and businesses.
